In the past, this cup was just contested by Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates however this year, every club in the PSL will be involved and voted to play in the Carling Cup.
It’s a very unique cup that involves every club’s fans to also participate and be part of its planning and execution. The Carling Cup is a top-four tournament that allows fans to vote and choose which teams should play in the cup.
The top four most-voted teams will then be drawn to compete against each other to win the Carling Knockout Cup.
PSL is expected to make further announcements next month, in September as promised for voting instructions and competition prizes for both clubs and the champion fans.
