Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to secure the services of two high-profile free agents, Sipho Mbule and Paseka Mako, as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. The potential acquisitions could significantly strengthen the Amakhosi ranks, particularly in midfield and at left-back.

    Mako Set for Soweto Switch?

Veteran full-back Paseka Mako, recently released by Orlando Pirates, is reportedly on the verge of joining their fierce Soweto rivals, Kaizer Chiefs. While earlier reports from SABC Sport suggested Mako was in negotiations with Pirates, subsequent media outlets, including KickOff, have indicated that Mako has agreed to a three-year deal with Amakhosi, set to commence in July. This move would see Chiefs strengthen their left-back position, despite having signed Bradley Cross last season.

    Mbule’s Agent Confirms Chiefs Offer

In a development that has generated considerable buzz, 27-year-old midfielder Sipho Mbule, recently departed from Mamelodi Sundowns, has been “offered” to Kaizer Chiefs. This revelation comes from Mbule’s outspoken agent, Mike Makaab.

Initially, Makaab had dismissed rumours linking Mbule to Naturena, telling FarPost, “I don’t know where the talks that Sipho Mbule is going to Kaizer Chiefs are coming from. All I can tell you is that the rumours are not true… there hasn’t been any formal approach from any team about the services of Mbule. So we’ll look at all the best possible options to get him a club.”

However, Makaab later clarified his stance on social media, tweeting, “Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs. It is up to the club to make the decision, and we need to respect that decision.”

While the offer has been made, Chiefs have yet to make a definitive decision on whether to sign the “troublesome” midfielder. New Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently focused on building a formidable team for the new campaign, and Mbule’s potential addition would undoubtedly be a significant one.

Rowan Human Also Linked to Soweto Giants

Beyond Mbule and Mako, another player potentially on the radar of the Soweto giants is Rowan Human. The attacking midfielder, a key player for AmaZulu FC under Arthur Zwane, is set to become a free agent. A report by iDiski Times suggests that Human has been offered to both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs by his representatives, potentially setting up another intriguing transfer battle between the two rivals.

As the transfer window progresses, Kaizer Chiefs fans will be keenly watching to see if the club can secure these high-profile free agents and build a squad capable of challenging for honours in the upcoming season.
