MTN 8 is a top cup competition in the premier league in which teams compete for massive prize money.
Last season’s top 8 teams compete this year in the MTN 8 cup for the R8 million prize.
MTN has been running for the past 15 seasons of the premier league and continues to be one of the PSL’s main sponsors and strategic partners.
The current holding champion is Mamelodi Sundowns, which won the cup last season (2021/22) against Supersport United.
And they’re facing each other in the quarter-final of this tournament again this season, which should be an interesting game to watch.
