The 2024/25 Betway Premiership season is upon us, and clubs have been busy bolstering their squads in the hopes of securing silverware. The transfer window has seen some exciting moves since July 2024, with both established stars and promising youngsters making their way to new clubs.
PSL Transfers Rumours:
- Orlando Pirates: Orlando Pirates have set a R30-million price tag on Bafana Bafana striker Evidence Makgopa, according to Soccer Laduma. Makgopa has caught the attention of European clubs with his standout performances. However, the Buccaneers have made it clear that they won’t consider any offers below R30 million for the 24-year-old forward. Additonally, Pirates player Azola Matrose will be leaving the club on a permanent basis as the new season continues
- Kaizer Chiefs: According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs have finalized a deal to sign Bafana Bafana defender Bradley Cross from Lamontville Golden Arrows and made contact to AmaZulu FC, inquiring about defender Riaan Hanamub. The Glamour Boys could also lose defender Given Msimango to a Russian Premier League side FC Spartak Moscow.
- Cape Town City: Cape Town City has opted not to re-sign former Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus. According to reports, the club was on the verge of bringing the experienced forward on board to fill the spot left by Bafana Bafana’s Khanyisa Mayo. However, recent updates indicate that City plans to focus on nurturing young talent instead, leaving Erasmus without a contract.
