Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule is on the verge of a loan move to a new club, according to reports. An agreement has been reached and the talented midfielder is expected to soon don the colours of his new team.

Sundowns Transfers: Fresh Start for Sipho Mbule

While the specific destination remains undisclosed at this time, reports indicate that there are ongoing discussions between Mbule and Sekhukhune United.

After Sekhukhune United’s 1-0 win over Magesi FC at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, Sekhukhune’s head coach, Lehlohonolo Seema, addressed questions regarding Mbule’s potential transfer to his team. Although Seema didn’t dismiss the possibility, he acknowledged ongoing discussions between the two clubs.

Sekhukhune United has shown interest in the midfielder, especially as Sundowns is open to the move to give Mbule more regular playing time. The 26-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the Sundowns’ starting lineup, making limited appearances since his arrival at the club in 2022.

    Competition for Places

Reports suggest that both Sundowns and Sekhukhune have confirmed that a loan deal for Mbule for the 2024/25 season has been finalized. A source told Soccer Laduma that “an agreement has been reached between the clubs. Mbule will join Sekhukhune for the season. It’s a done deal, pending official announcements from both sides,” the source revealed.

Mbule’s impending loan move highlights the competitive nature of Sundowns’ squad, where talented players often face fierce competition for starting positions. The loan spell provides Mbule with a platform to showcase his abilities and potentially earn a more prominent role upon his return to the Brazilians.
