FT SUMMARY: Pirates out-classed SuperSport United to show who’s the defending champion. Having tried to fight back immediately after the second half returned, SuperSport pushed the game toward extra time, that’s where things fell off and Pirates gained the advantage.
Former Pirates star Pule scored a few minutes into the second half, but Saleng and Makgopa added two more goals to advance to the semi final stage of the MTN 8 Cup competition.
