Bafana Bafana played the second leg of the CHAN qualifier match against Angola with the hopes of bouncing back after the first leg defeat.
Angola proved to be the strongest team by humiliating Bafana Bafana to a 4 – 1 defeat and knocking them out of the CHAN competition.
Led by assistant coach Helman Mkhele, the South African national soccer team has failed to qualify for the tournament since 2014. In fact, Bafana Bafana has generally been struggling to qualify for major African and international tournaments since the 2010 world cup.
While the starting lineup for Bafana Bafana seemed promising but unfortunately it wasn’t to be that Sunday evening.
On aggregate, Bafana Bafana lost 6-1 to Angola during the African Nations Cupe qualifier matches.
