The 2023/24 PSL officially opened last night with Sekhukhune United playing the defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns in Peter Mokaba, Polokwane.
In an exciting match, the first match after a full match of no action, people went to the stadium to support both teams.
Sundowns won the match by 2-1 in an eventful and thrilling game that seen two red and five yellow cards. Tow of these goals were scored from set piece play, a penalty and a free kick.
And the winning goal came from Sundowns new Brazilian signing after a defensive mistake by Sekhukhune Captain, Cardoso.
Both teams mentioned the game was very good, both teams played well and it was an educational game of some sort to test new signings and how their players work together.
