South African football’s most decorated coach, Pitso Mosimane, has reiterated his ambition to return to international football, specifically with a national team. Fresh off a recent stint in the Saudi Pro League with Abha FC, Mosimane is now seeking a new challenge on the global stage.

Interest from West Africa and World Cup Aspirations

In recent interviews, Mosimane revealed that he has been in contact with several national teams, particularly in West Africa. While he did not specify which teams, his revelation has sparked widespread speculation about his potential next destination.

Mosimane’s desire to manage a national team is driven by his ambition to compete at the highest level of international football, including the FIFA World Cup. He has previously managed the South African national team, Bafana Bafana, leading them to the 2010 World Cup on home soil.

“The World Cup I’ve done with a country was once, so maybe [my next job will be] with a national team,” said Mosimane. “That interests me more.”

    Pitso Mosimane: Sought-After Coach

Mosimane’s impressive track record, particularly his success in the CAF Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly, has made him a sought-after coach across the continent. He is known for his tactical acumen, ability to develop young talent, and his winning mentality.

    Anticipation Builds

The news of interest from West Africa has further fueled excitement about Mosimane’s potential return to international football. The region boasts several talented national teams, including Senegal, Ghana, and Nigeria, all of whom could benefit from Mosimane’s expertise.

As the football world awaits Mosimane’s next move, one thing is certain: his return to the international stage will be met with great anticipation and excitement.
