Another day dawns in Ivory Coast, and with it comes a new day of AFCON matches. Here is a look at all of the AFCON fixtures today:

    AFCON 2024 Fixtures Today, 19 January 2024:

    Cape Verde vs Mozambique

    • Time: 4:00 PM SAST
    • Venue: Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
    • Preview: Cape Verde are the favorites to win this match, having won 2 of their last 3 meetings against Mozambique and beating Ghana in their opening AFCON match. Mozambique, on the other hand, are winless in their last 13 AFCON games and have never kept a clean sheet in the tournament.
    • Importance: A win for Cape Verde would almost certainly secure their place in the last 16, while a draw would keep their qualification hopes alive. For Mozambique, a win is crucial to keep their slim qualification hopes alive, but a draw or a loss would likely eliminate them from the tournament.

    Senegal vs Cameroon

    • Time: 7:00 PM SAST
    • Venue: Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire
    • Preview: Senegal are the defending champions and looked strong in their opening win against Gambia. Cameroon, on the other hand, were held to a draw by Guinea in their first match. Senegal have a slight edge in terms of form and experience, but Cameroon are always a dangerous team.
    • Importance: A win for Senegal would guarantee their place in the last 16, while a draw would keep them in a strong position. For Cameroon, a win is essential to get their campaign back on track, while a draw would leave them needing to win their final group game against Mozambique to qualify.

    Guinea vs Gambia

    • Time: 10:00 PM SAST
    • Venue: Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro, Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire
    • Preview: Guinea were unlucky not to win their opening match against Cameroon, while Gambia were well beaten by Senegal. Guinea are the slight favorites in this match, but Gambia will be looking to bounce back from their defeat.
    • Importance: A win for Guinea would put them in a strong position to qualify for the last 16, while a draw would keep their hopes alive. For Gambia, a win is essential to keep their slim qualification hopes alive, but a draw or a loss would likely eliminate them from the tournament.
