    Last week, the Banyana Banyana players were released from their camp in Johannesburg to honour their Hollywoodbets commitments with their respective clubs. They re-joined the national team on Sunday morning.

    Here’s a review of each travelling player in coach Desiree Ellis’ 23-member squad ahead of their away assignment against Serbia on 10 April 2023.

    UWC FC

    All six UWC players in coach Ellis’ squad played in UWC’s 2-0 victory over Copperbelt Ladies FC, with Sibulele Holweni scoring a goal. It was an impressive performance by the UWC players who are returning to the national team after playing for their clubs. Regirl Ngobeni, Kholosa Biyana, Lonathemba Mhlongo, Fikile Magama and Bongeka Gamede all started for their club, showcasing their skills and proving their worth to the team.

    JVW FC

    Gabriela Salgado scored the only goal in JVW FC’s win against TUT. Two other players from the squad that will face Serbia played in the match: Robyn Moodaly and Kaylin Swart.
