Kaizer Chiefs have announced the acquisition of Angolan international centre-back, Inacio Miguel, from Petro de Luanda on a three-year deal. The 28-year-old defender, also known as Inacio Miguel Ferreira dos Santos, arrived in South Africa on Tuesday and successfully completed his medical before putting pen to paper.
Inacio Miguel’s Impressive Track Record
Miguel’s journey in professional football includes stints with several notable clubs, showcasing his defensive prowess and leadership qualities. His experience playing in competitive leagues will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the Soweto Giants. The Portuguese-born defender was an integral part of the Petro de Luanda team that participated in the CAF Champions League and won Angola’s domestic league title last season. He has also appeared five times in Angolan national team colours.
Boosting the Squad’s Depth
Miguel, the first Angolan international to sign for Chiefs’ senior team, is the fifth addition to the squad during the current transfer window. He joins Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam and Gaston Sirino, who all arrived in the last few weeks.
